"Split" is a very meaningful song to me. It is 1 of 2 non EDM songs listed and showcases my vocal work and song writing. The production of this song was a collaboration with a small artist I really enjoy who calls them self Drama Trial. It was difficult getting in contact with them but eventually we worked together to create the beat and came out with a really cool alternative track (with bossa nova elements) that I was able to write and sing personal lyrics over.

"ahhhhhh!!" is the other half of my non EDM songs included. While I did not create this beat I again believe it shows my abilities in vocal work and lyric writing. Music as a whole has been a great outlet for me to speak my mind and work through my emotions and these songs are perfect examples of that.

The name "YOZO" comes from one of my favorite books "No Longer Human", aside from the use of vocal editing to piece that phrase together throughout the track, I also wanted to harness the intense and scary nature of the horror manga into the feeling of the song itself. With the use of hard hitting bass, screaming vocals, and a monologue from the anime adaptation of "Attack on Titan" I wanted to put my own spin on an auditory version of the story created by Junji Ito.

"ADHD" is a special song as it is a direct representation of myself. When I was working on music that I wanted to put in my application I knew I wanted them to showcase not only me as an artist, but me as a person as well. The bubbly and random nature of this track represents my personality and quick wittedness. I used as many royalty free samples as I could fit as the main "voice" of the song to portray that extroverted side of myself. The slower and somber ending plays to the problems I've faced internally throughout my own life and how subtle but quick my emotions can switch. Some of the samples are taken from things I enjoy in real life like such as animals, my car, and cinema.

My goal in my making of "No Stranger to Darkness" was to flip an existing song and practice my use of sampling. The original song of the same name is by the group "Loose ends". When I first heard the song the instruments they used very much stuck out to me. I made the overarching background of the song by chopping up the instrumental, adding effects and tweaking small imperfections from the original (due to the limited technology of 1984). I added my own drums and cut, moved and edited the vocals to have a more dance-y feel. I wanted to song to be more minimal because I felt that the original instrumental had so many amazing elements that it needed to drive the song.

"On the Radar Freestyle (IKE flip)" was my first official release on my Soundcloud page. In an odd turn of events I was asked to make a song for the international DJ, Oliver Heldens, to play at his show at The Brooklyn Mirage in New York. Sadly the timeframe he wanted it to be done in was not possible for me, but I continued working on the song regardless. In the end I was inclined to post it due to the original songs popularity and the vengeance I felt for not being able to get it done in time for Oliver's show! This song used the skills I gained from sampling in "No Stranger to Darkness" and added more of my technical producing ability on top of it.

(All covers were designed/illustrated/edited by myself)
